so i was going through my digital photo library. ive had so many different hair dos, its a lil funny to look back and be like ohh i remember... lately ive been more laid back on the longer natural side... letting my natural beauty do its job hahahaha! you would think id be bald by now from all the chemicals!

whats green, wet, and tastes ohh so good?

no, not a booger!! i decided to try something new for the month of april. i added "green smoothies" to my morning routine. i am horrible when it comes to breakfast. really, really bad. either i skip it or bust a drive thru at mcdonalds and get two apple pies and a small coffee. and im proud to say i havent had coffee ever since. it kicked my coffee urge to the curb! and did i mention i am now wearing a size 30!!! ive been stuck with 32's for a while. and it is very depressing knowing i used to be able to share size 0 with my sister :( whomp whomp!

these smoothies are quick and easy to make...
just toss all this into the blender!!!

• peel and chop one frozen banana
• 2 spoonfuls of yogurt
• 1 cup of almond milk
• 1 spoon of peanut butter
• and a big handful of spinach

blend that suckka till its nice and smooth and your ready to go! i will be honest 3 days of the peanut butter does start to get a bit old(especially when your having jb&j for lunch), so just skip it and why not add some frozen mango!!!

can you believe we raised over $300,000 for the year of 2011. amazing right? this was the first time i ever participated in anything like this. super stressful but you wont even understand how proud you will feel of yourself when its all over. yes, i helped make a difference, and i hope my hard work will one day help find the cure to lupus!

details for this years lupus walk have already been announced! yikes!!! i dont think i am going to want to do the whole fancy silent auction. getting people/companys to donate was freaken hard! maybe ill do something more family oriented like at a pizza shop??? Hmmm time to put my thinking cap on! many, many thanks for the following people who donated and made the silent auction amazing!

is my bee hive too small???

i dont know about you, but its been a while since i have purchased any new music. todays music just isnt doing anything for me right now. yeah, there are a few catchy singles out there but nothing for me to go out and buy the whole cd. is it just me? is my taste in music just changing? lately ive been on pandora and my two favorite stations are dusty springfield, and elvis radio stations. why am i traveling back in time? yeah, ive always liked this music, but why am i listening to it 24 7??? is it because its when music was real? real voices? real meaningful lyrics? non of that auto tone bullshit?

also this has built a lil bridge toward exploring blues and soul. ohh yeah! i never really listened much to blues and soul besides the popular big hits. but i came to realize some of these artist would re do old songs with a faster beat and ohh man, did they do a good job at it. ohh check out hugh laurie and jimmy reed pandora stations!!! awesome!

ohh yeah, which leads to another thing, vinyl. i purchased my first record and record player. love, love, love!!! gotta get me some dusty records!!!!

did i mention my halloween costume rocked?

so i finally made the costume ive been wanting to make for ohh so many years. a robot. i sported it last year (2011) to work and yes i won!! well i tied with mrs edward scissor hands. i had a blast making this costume.  and yes i connected my iphone to the speakers and played beastie boys intergalactic!!!

i wonder what i should make for this year... hmmm?
