it was circa 1997. i was obsessed with music. i would buy every single cd, go to every single concert, and buy every single magazine. but it wasnt until one day, when a spin magazine changed the rest of my life...
now, i wasnt the biggest no doubt fan, but i remember seeing "nada surf" on the cover and thinking ohh cool ill buy it. little did i know what i would find inside.
since the boys were excluded from the cover (remember the dont speak video? true story) they had a picture of the boys on the table of contents... and it was love at first sight... the more i learned about him the deeper the obsession became. my walls were covered with his face, and funny thing i still have many of them stored away, including this spin cover. next thing you know it was everything no doubt for me. yes, i remember the gwen-a-bee era, i was there! i would watch all the mtv and vhl interviews and see his wacky personality and thats where i made up my mind... one day i will marry a guy exactly like him. hahahaha. i love his personality. he always wants to have fun, and doesnt mind being the butt of any joke, literally.
many might not know but a few years ago, he was the president of schwing golf magazine. yes and i bought every issue until my local sav-on didnt carry it any more... what can i say, i wanted to support!
dont even get me started on his fashion sense... love, love, love. theres nothing better than a man in golf pants!!! ugh and the hair!!!!
this out fit is perfect
the boy cleans up well
his tribute to the amazing robert smith
lakers, lakers, lakers!!!
and this is when i begin to drool
the lucky lady who won his heart
funny story about nina young... one day my friend and i found ourselves shopping in cerritos mall. this was in the "rock steady era." we went in this shoe store and saw this lady talking to the sales clerk. next thing you know i noticed the rock steady hand bag in her hand. (this wasnt even on sale yet!) i thought to my self, who the hell is this... and as i looked to the side to try to get a glimpse of her face, i noticed a stroller... and my heart sunk... it was new born baby mason... this should have been my kid. hahahahahaha! i freaked out and told my friend, and she didnt believe me... i ran back when i realized adrian might be with her. i just stood there staring, so pathetic... and sans adrian.
here are two videos i thought you might enjoy...
:::love:::
one of my fav
i had a few opportunities to meet him... but i chickened out. once, he was 5 feet away from me and i froze. im kindda glad i didnt... i wanna keep him on a pedestal...
and if i may add, i knew mark was the one when i first saw him in his golf pants... who knew!!!
this is one of the best sandwiches i have ever hand in the world... i have high expectations for turkey sandwiches due to this lil shop called larcmont wine & cheese.
i am so happy mark introduced me to this place. we have been going here for about 5 years, and the funny thing is that we have never bothered trying anything other than a #4- baguette. we dont live any where near this place, but the drive is ohh so worth it. this place is always jammed pack, so we got the hang of ordering it over the phone and by the time we get there, it is ready, and i am ready to pig out!!!
you have the option of 2 breads. baguette or ciabatta bread. and i say baguette all the way, but i have to warn you... expect irritation on the roof of you mouth the next day. (hard bread but who cares!! this sandwich is worth it, trust me) and i am not a cheese person... but why didnt any one ever introduce me to swiss gruyere cheese!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!! ahhhh and this sun dried tomato mayo... drool!!!! then you get the balsamic vinegar layer... and then these little pickles you get on the side!!!! ugh i cant even type this... i think imma have to go back this weekend.
so if you are ever in the hollywood/larcmont village area, stop by, it is a must! 223 n. larchmont blvd.

ugh! am i the only one who hates shopping for bikinis? i haven not found that top that fits and supports good. as of yesterday, i have officially given up on halters. i found myself with neck pain from all the extra weight hanging off my neck!!! i cant shop at target anymore since their xlarge doesnt fit me :( is it just me but it seems that the bigger the cup size the more it looks like an ugly bra...??? i thought id take a different approach this year and shop online. wish me luck!!!
what do you think? im not crazy about the mid section
i dunno about you but there has always been something fascinating about jennifer aniston... and her brown belts!!! there has been so many photos and movies where i see her with her brown belt and think "damn thats hot!" is it just me? how can i think a belt of all things makes her body stand out so much more??
i mean come on, her casual style is always awesome... her blue jeans always look great on her whether shes wearing em with boots, wedges, or sandals, but the brown belt is a must!!!
so on our trip to santa barbara, we stopped by the camarillo outlets. mark needed some new jeans so the levi store was a must. as i was waiting around for him i strolled in the womens section... "ahh brown belts... ahhh they have the 'jennifer aniston belt'...booo they only have medium.... let me try it on... what??? it fits???" you wouldnt even understand the joy and happiness i was experiencing! its been so long since i bought anything in a medium. i literally ran over to mark with tears of joy, modeling this medium sized brown belt i have been looking for all these years. all of my hard work and discipline is really paying off. the best natural high!!!
what can i say? she can pull of that brown belt with anything!!!
we took a mini road to this past weekend to beautiful santa barbara! the weather was perfect, traffic was perfect, and the fact i was spending the weekend with my two favorite boys... can you say PERFECT!!!
on the road again...
he was such a good dog... in the car...
solvang california, here we come!
we are not in kansas any more...
we started off our little tour on foot. this place is beautiful. in a weird way i felt as if i was on disneys small world ride non stop!
i saw these little "houses" on many of the buildings. any one know about these?
we walked till our tummys cried for food
i hesitated in ordering a danish hot dog...
when i saw it, i thought, ewww. but let me tell you this hot dog was amazing!
i love danish sausage. pun intended!
so our walk continued and got bad when the dude saw the horses.
after that he was barking up a storm... we should have left the kid at home...
thank god, he fell asleep
we pretty much were done with solvang. we drove around a bit just to see what the neighborhood looked like. next thing you know we see a sign for ostrich land... we had to bust a U and see for our selves.
beautiful feathers... ugly, scary animals!
a chipmunk!!
look its rosa, maria, luz, and elsa hiding in the back (sisters)
my head barley fit in the hole :(
then the time came along to drive back home... i think dude was happy about that!
